How to file your claim:
- First, locate your insurance policy and policy number.

- Next, review your insurance company’s procedures for filing a claim. Usually, you can call the claims department or your insurance agent. In most cases you can go online to file your claim. Below are a few major insurance companies’ websites.

What happens after your claim is filed:
- A claims adjustor from your insurance company will be contacting you to schedule the adjustment for your home.
What do you do next?
- You can schedule the appointment with the adjustor, or
- You can have the adjustor contact Joe Mitchell (763-238-2843) and he will schedule a time to meet with the adjustor.
- Either way you feel like going, always request that you want your contractor present during the insurance company’s adjustment/ inspection. We will be there to negotiate on your behalf and protect your best interest.
- After your claim has been approved by the insurance company.
- You will receive an itemized list of damages and the costs from your insurance company. This document will explain what needs to be repaired on your home by J.G.M. Construction Inc. You should also receive a down payment check from your insurance carrier for the work we will perform.
- Contact Joe Mitchell to review the insurance paperwork as soon as possible. He will ensure that your home was properly inspected and that the insurance adjustor makes no mistakes on the claim (measurements, pricing, etc.)
